Abstract
Le présent bilan vise à dresser un portrait d’ensemble de l’activité lexicographique en Acadie, en examinant les choix méthodologiques des auteurs et les représentations qu’ils entretiennent de la variété de français qu’ils décrivent. L’étude du paratexte de la vingtaine d’ouvrages présentés révèle que la variété privilégiée demeure encore, à ce jour, le français acadien traditionnel, d’où la propension des auteurs à se pencher sur la question des origines. Cet intérêt marqué pour une variété presque disparue prend son sens dans le cadre d’un discours cherchant à légitimer le français acadien en contexte minoritaire. Toutefois, les pratiques lexicales contemporaines sont encore très peu décrites et demeurent, de ce fait, mal connues.
