Abstract
Dans le cadre de la formation de base des maîtres, cet article propose une définition de la formation pratique à partir de trois éléments majeurs : la participation de l’étudiant-maître à des activités de formation pratique, la supervision et l’identification des objectifs. L’auteur classe ensuite les activités de formation pratique en fonction des milieux où elles se déroulent; il précise la place et l’importance qu’on devrait accorder à la formation pratique au sein de la formation initiale des enseignants et en identifie les responsables. Il suggère enfin de confier, dans l’Université, la responsabilité des activités de formation pratique en éducation et le développement de la recherche dans ce champ à une structure à laquelle des professeurs seraient rattachés.
