Abstract

En une époque où la religion catholique connaît une désaffection au Québec, les sanctuaires de pèlerinage tels Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Notre-Dame-du-Cap et l’Oratoire Saint-Joseph semblent plutôt florissants. Devenant le support de quêtes de mieux-être diverses et le point de rencontre de nouveaux groupes identitaires, ces centres s’ajustent aux quêtes religieuses et thérapeutiques contemporaines. Favorisant une approche intégrale sur le plan de la santé, le pèlerinage sur ces trois lieux témoigne de nombreux déplacements que connaît actuellement cette pratique évoluant entre tradition et modernité. Dans cet exposé, il sera question d’une nouvelle forme de démarche transitant par les trois lieux et qui porte avec elle les mutations profondes marquant désormais le phénomène du pèlerinage au Québec : le « Chemin des Sanctuaires ».
