Abstract
Au Québec, à la fin des années 1970, la qualification professionnelle du travail rémunéré du care dans les services d’aide à domicile a été possible grâce à l’étatisation des services et à la syndicalisation. Avec la sous-traitance des services publics et l’inadéquation de la régulation juridique du travail à l’égard de cette forme productive, les travailleuses peuvent difficilement négocier collectivement cette qualification. Leurs conditions de travail précarisées sont marquées par la « disponibilité permanente juste-à-temps », nouveau modèle de flexibilisation du travail combinant les logiques propres à la sphère domestique et à la gestion de type toyotiste.
