Abstract
Cette recherche porte sur le travail du sexe dans les établissements érotiques (salons de massage, appartements, établissements de spectacles érotiques privés). Elle s’appuie sur l’observation de ces activités comme travail et présente l’organisation et les relations de travail aussi bien que les défis spécifiques qui confrontent les travailleuses dans ce domaine. Parmi ceux-ci, on retrouve le caractère non institutionnel du travail et la mise en cause de l’association dominante entre sexe et intimité. Les données recueillies mettent en évidence similitudes et différences entre le travail du sexe et d’autres emplois dans le domaine des services.
