Among the many exciting developments that have marked SEG in recent years (and the list is long: creation of the SEG Advanced Modeling initiative, the emergence of the SEG Foundation as a major driver of student programs, the implementation of a very ambitious and complex restructuring of the Society's Web-based capabilities, and a greatly expanded lecture tour program, to name some of the most prominent), most can be linked to a common denominator.
