Abstract
Ce travail veut rendre compte d'une manière d’aborder la PME sous un angle financier et dresser un état de la littérature existante, lequel état permet de repérer des axes de recherches. Après avoir situé le positionnement théorique de ce type de questionnement et défini le cadre d’analyse dans lequel il se situe, sont proposés des axes permettant de déterminer la place des PME dans l’économie financière et d’expliciter les déterminants ainsi que les formes prises par les politiques financières de ces entreprises. Est ainsi suggérée une approche du positionnement financier à partir de la démographie d’entreprise; ce qui permet de procéder à un examen des spécificités financières de la PME au regard des différentes approches théoriques disponibles. En ce qui concerne l’analyse des politiques financières, de l’identification de cadres d’analyse découle une analyse heuristique des différents aspects stratégiques identifiés.
