Spin locking and freezing phenomena in the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on the three-leg ladder
Bibliographic record
Abstract
The antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on the three-leg ladder is studied using the generalized Jordan-Wigner transformation in dimensions higher than 1, and the bond-mean-field theory. The magnetic susceptibility and other thermodynamic quantities are analyzed as a function of the rung-to-leg coupling ratio $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ and temperature $T$. We fit the experimental susceptibility data of the three-leg material ${\mathrm{Sr}}_{2}{\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}{\mathrm{O}}_{5}$ of Azuma and co-workers with good agreement. One of the main findings of this work is the proposal that close to two-thirds of the spin degrees of freedom on each of the rungs of the ladder lock at low $T$ for small $\ensuremath{\alpha}$, then collectively almost $2∕3$ of the spin degrees of freedom on all the rungs freeze completely at low $T$ for $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ greater than a threshold value. The approach developed here can be used to study the three-leg ladder for all values of $\ensuremath{\alpha}$, and is thus suitable for the description of the crossover regime between the weak- and strong-coupling regimes.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
