Abstract
Cet article analyse la façon dont les États-Unis, après avoir soutenu l’Argentine dans sa fonction stabilisatrice et intégratrice, ont décidé de l’ignorer dans leur plan stratégique pour l’Amérique du Sud. Cette situation a été positive pour le pays ainsi que pour l’intégration latino-américaine ; mais elle a mis aussi en évidence sa perte d’influence internationale. Dans ce travail, nous avons analysé d’un point de vue théorique les changements qui se sont opérés dans la politique régionale et la manière dont ceux-ci ont touché l’Argentine. Nous avons aussi examiné quelques-unes des raisons pour lesquelles les États-Unis, dans leur plan hémisphérique, se sont conduits de façon différente avec ce pays, laissant entendre que sa puissance n’était plus pertinente.
