Abstract
À partir du cas empirique que constitue le Débat régional organisé après l’explosion de l’usine chimique AZF de Toulouse le 21 septembre 2001, cette étude aborde la question de l’évolution des pratiques démocratiques en se centrant sur l’analyse du rapport entre les modes de participation civique aux dispositifs de concertation et la structuration de l’espace public autonome de la société civile. Alors que ces deux champs d’analyse sont généralement traités de façon indépendante, la présente recherche vise au contraire à mettre au cœur de la réflexion la question de l’articulation entre les espaces institutionnels de débat et l’espace autonome propre à la société civile.
