Abstract
Résumé L’humour est présenté, dans cet article, comme un facteur de protection qui peut se révéler fort utile pour les enfants à risque et pour leur entourage. Après avoir défini l’humour, l’article évoque le développement de l’humour chez l’enfant, ses effets positifs, l’humour chez certains enfants à risque (enfants confrontés à la maladie, déficients auditifs, autistes, présentant le syndrome d’Asperger ou une déficience intellectuelle). Les effets protecteurs de l’humour sont regroupés selon le modèle écosystémique. Des programmes d’intervention, basés sur l’humour touchant à l’apprentissage à l’école, l’humour pour les enfants hospitalisés, la désensibilisation et l’entraînement thérapeutique, sont brièvement passés en revue. Enfin, un programme visant l’acquisition d’habiletés interpersonnelles pour les jeunes présentant des difficultés de socialisation est présenté.
