Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present a search for the standard model Higgs boson using hadronically decaying tau leptons, in $1\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of data collected with the D0 detector at the Fermilab Tevatron $p\overline{p}$ collider. We select two final states: ${\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ plus missing transverse energy and $b$ jets, and ${\ensuremath{\tau}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\tau}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ plus jets. These final states are sensitive to a combination of associated $W/Z$ boson plus Higgs boson, vector boson fusion, and gluon-gluon fusion production processes. The observed ratio of the combined limit on the Higgs production cross section at the 95% C.L. to the standard model expectation is 29 for a Higgs boson mass of 115 GeV.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
