Abstract

The article considers the personnel composition of clerics in Petersburg Roman Catholic temple in the last quarter of the 18-th century. Till 1780-th years the Franciscans worked in the city, but in the last decade of the 18-th century they were displaced by members of secular clergy and however already in 1800 in the parish there were only Jesuits. This paper accentuates the main activity lines of Roman clergy their religious propaganda and educational practice. The author concludes that church organization of the Petersburg Catholics by the end of the century again became the missionary point.
