Abstract
Résumé Une manière appropriée d’envisager le renouveau organisationnel consiste à considérer la diversité culturelle en milieu de travail comme une occasion de se démarquer des concurrents et d’être plus compétitif, innovateur et efficient. Mais, pour cela, l’entreprise doit amorcer un processus rigoureux d’acquisition d’une main-d’œuvre culturellement diversifiée. La première partie de l’article présente un survol des motifs poussant les organisations à se doter d’employés issues des minorités visibles. La deuxième partie décrit un éventail d’activités et de pratiques proposées aux organisations qui désirent s’engager dans une telle démarche. Pour que ces pratiques puissent apporter les bénéfices escomptés, elles doivent s’appuyer sur des facteurs de succès, lesquels font l’objet de la dernière partie.
