Cet article aborde le thème du dumping dans sa définition, ses impacts économiques, ainsi que son évolution dans le temps. Dans un premier lieu, l’analyse économique du dumping fait ressortir qu’il s’agit d’une pratique difficile à cerner et que les mesures qui visent à le combattre donnent des résultats peu concluants. Ensuite, l’article se penche sur l’évolution des mesures antidumping dans le temps et démontre qu’elles sont de plus en plus utilisées à des fins protectionnistes, aussi bien par les pays développés, qui en sont les utilisateurs traditionnels, que par les pays en développement. Enfin, l’article examine le règlement des différends liés au dumping par l’omc.
