Abstract
À partir des résultats d’une enquête réalisée auprès des volontaires de l’association Unis-Cité en 2008-2009, cet article propose d’analyser la contribution du service civil volontaire français à la socialisation politique des jeunes. Après avoir présenté les contours de l’expérience politique des volontaires avant le début de leur service civil, il s’agira de présenter ce dispositif public et, en particulier, de repérer les éléments susceptibles d’influencer leurs représentations, leurs connaissances et leurs pratiques citoyennes. Enfin, il s’agira de mesurer les effets de cette expérience sur ces dimensions.
