Abstract
La Commission de l’équité salariale est l’organisme public québécois chargé d’interpréter et d’appliquer la loi sur l’équité salariale adoptée en 1996. Cette loi vise à corriger les écarts salariaux discriminatoires entre hommes et femmes dans les entreprises publiques et privées québécoises. L’auteure, à travers son expérience de présidente de la Commission et les écrits qui en traitent, rappelle le contexte de sa création, ses particularités, ses réalisations, le positionnement des acteurs sociaux à l’origine et en 2008, a insi que les menaces et défis au cours de la prochaine décennie.
