Abstract
Rapports de sexe et de classe et mobilité socio-économique chez les Baoulé (Côte-d'Ivoire) La société baoulé précoloniale se caractérisait par une grande mobilité socio-économique à laquelle participaient les deux sexes. La prospérité attirait des dépendants qui, réciproquement, contribuaient à la prospérité. C'est ainsi qu'un(e) afné(e) pouvait accéder au statut d'ancêtre. Les modèles et les valeurs d'autrefois gouvernent encore les stratégies de réussite des citadines d'origine rurale. Cependant, les effets des rapports de classe et des processus actuels de reproduction sociale sur les rapports de sexe font que ces stratégies tendent paradoxalement à promouvoir les conditions d'inégalité auxquelles elles voudraient se soustraire. En même temps, les réseaux sociaux entre milieu urbain et milieu rural qui fondent une certaine intégrité de la société baoulé au sein de la société étatique se trouvent menacés.
