Abstract
L'analyse menée à partir de la langue parlée à la maison et des revenus totaux révèle une persistance à long terme d'écarts bruts de revenus défavorables aux Canadiennes francophones et un statut économique inférieur à celui des Canadiennes anglophones. Même à égalité d'âge et de scolarité, il subsiste des écarts nets de revenus totaux selon la langue. Les revenus de placements font apparaître des inégalités selon la langue, plus grandes que les inégalités selon le sexe. Les taux de chômage des femmes francophones sont plus élevés et leur participation au marché du travail est plus faible. Les femmes francophones demeurent sous-représentées dans les activités financières et les professions à statut élevé, tandis que la fonction publique semble constituer un refuge pour elles. Les progrès, encore insuffisants, en éducation, ont permis un certain rattrapage dont profitent les diplômées universitaires.
