Abstract
Robert Lefort livre un fragment de sa mémoire à travers une carte postale. Il vit dans la rue et, pourtant, il transmet quelque chose en héritage à ses soeurs. Robert, cette figure extrême de la désaffiliation, hors emploi et hors famille, aucune protection sociale ne parviendra à l’attraper. C’est l’occasion pour le sociologue de s’interroger sur ce que « protéger » veut dire. Comment l’hébergement, quel qu’il soit, suppose une intimité composée de soutien social et familial. À défaut, comment passera-t-il de l’hébergement à la rue ? L’intimité est le carrefour de ce processus : habiter, cela suppose une intimité forte, déjà là.
