Abstract
La présente réflexion se propose d’interroger les différentes tendances et innovations qui s’observent dans le roman africain francophone, d’analyser leurs modes d’émergence ainsi que leurs stratégies de déploiement. Elle porte un regard à la fois diachronique et synchronique sur la forme et la langue des oeuvres, les rapports que celles-ci entretiennent aux lieux de production et aux instances de légitimation que sont les revues et les maisons d’édition. Ainsi, le paradigme de la traversée qui est au centre de l’analyse est un tout qui cumule des éléments physiques de la traversée géographique (le voyage des auteurs et la valeur symbolique de leurs expériences) et des éléments intertextuels de la traversée des imaginaires (lectures et différents contacts avec les milieux culturels de plus en plus variés).
