Abstract
Dans le cadre d’une enquête sur les conditions de vie des ménages, menée en France en l’an 2 000, 5 200 individus âgés de 14 ans et plus ont été interrogés. Plus d’un Français sur trois déclare avoir reçu de son entourage une activité qui compte dans sa vie, une « passion » : dans le domaine culturel, les loisirs scientifiques, l’apprentissage des langues, etc. Les parents sont majoritairement à la source de cette passion. On observe une progression spectaculaire de la transmission des passions culturelles parmi les jeunes générations. Le milieu familial exerce une grande importance (parents plus scolarisés, ou ayant eux-mêmes une passion culturelle).
