Abstract
Une nuit de dcembre 1 , un vendredi, jour de Vnus, Peter Pan s'introduit une seconde fois chez les Darling Londres, par la fentre de la nursery, pour venir chercher son ombre perdue lors d'une prcdente visite. Il surprend d'abord Mrs. Darling puis il rveille la petite Wendy et lui raconte son histoire, en forme d'analepse, en deux pisodes distincts, spars par plusieurs chapitres : ds sa naissance, horrifi en entendant ses parents envisager son avenir, il s'est envol par la fentre de sa nursery londonienne. son retour, une autre nuit, il a dcouvert, derrire la fentre dsormais ferme et munie de barreaux, un petit garon, double de lui-mme, endormi dans son propre lit, occupant sa place auprs de sa mre. Convaincu que sa mre l'a oubli, il s'est alors envol vers Neverland, jaloux et furieux, dcid ne jamais devenir adulte. Wendy, petite fille pas si sage, fascine par l'histoire de ce jeune rebelle, accepte avec ravissement de le suivre. Et nouveau Peter s'envole, une nuit, par la fentre d'une nursery, accompagn cette fois des trois enfants Darling. Il y reviendra plusieurs occasions, de la mme manire. D'o la multiplication de scnes de dparts et de retours nocturnes, d'intrusion et d'exclusion et la rcurrence de l'image de la fentre ouverte/ferme. On pense au pome de Baudelaire :
