Abstract
Boubyan Island is the largest island in Kuwait. It is an underdeveloped area. In order to prepare a master plan with a long range of resource management policies, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research is involved in carrying out Boubyan field verification research studies and providing input to the preparation of a master plan. An all-season passive air sampling system for sampling SO 2 , NO x , O 3 and H 2 S in the atmosphere was used in the air pollution background study in the island. This paper details the study results.
