Abstract
Les processus de fragmentation narrative dans l’oeuvre de France Daigle ont été l’objet de nombreuses études. On a souvent fait remarquer, par exemple, l’utilisation de techniques cinématographiques dans les premiers ouvrages poétiques de Daigle. Cependant, des oeuvres plus récentes, comme 1953. Chronique d’une naissance annoncée , ont permis de déplacer le concept de fragmentation vers une analyse des contours instables du sujet dans sa culture. Dans l’histoire de la naissance du Bébé M., Daigle représente la culture acadienne comme un récit intermittent, d’abord viscéralement rejeté par l’enfant. Graduellement, cet enfant s’inscrira dans l’histoire séquentielle de sa propre culture et vivra au rythme de ses fonctions symboliques d’absorption et de digestion.
