La recherche a examiné l'effet de deux caractéristiques individuelles d'élèves du secondaire professionnel sur leurs besoins de contrôle d'un système d'enseignement informatisé: la connaissance de la matière et le rapport à l'étude. Les quatre sous-groupes ont reçu un enseignement individualisé assisté par vidéodisque et ordinateur. Un profil de leurs besoins d'interaction a été créé. Les résultats indiquent que seul le facteur de la matière présente des différences significatives en ce qui a trait au choix du niveau de difficulté, aux demandes de révisions et aux rétroactions formatives.
