Abstract
L’article propose d’interroger les tensions auxquelles sont soumis les salariés associatifs au sein d’organisations revendicatives telles que les associations de défense de consommateurs. Ces associations, qui ont pour particularité d’organiser des consommateurs pour la défense de leurs intérêts, déploient un répertoire d’actions varié qui passe par la représentation des consommateurs dans l’espace public, leur information et les conseils juridiques individuels en cas de litiges. Ces actions appellent une expertise certaine et une continuité de l’activité dont les salariés sont des acteurs non négligeables. Le contexte associatif et revendicatif dans lequel ils agissent place la question de l’engagement au travail au centre des tensions liées à l’imbrication délicate de l’organisation du travail et du fonctionnement démocratique de ces associations.
