Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We present a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system having the capability to vary the angle between the detector and sample location over a range of 0° to 360°. Terahertz (THz) pulse detection is performed electro-optically, and any transverse polarization state of the THz radiation can be determined for any detector location. A trade-off between angular resolution and signal strength is discussed and, accordingly, a component of the system has been designed to tune the relative angular resolution and signal strength. The system functionality is experimentally verified by sampling the electric field of a selection of THz pulses scattered from a sub-wavelength metallic sphere at various angles 360° around it. Such development of a time-domain THz spectroscopy system with its detector location variable over 360° introduces a new degree of freedom for time-resolved, polarization-sensitive investigations into electromagnetic phenomena in the THz regime.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
