Abstract
Dès ses premiers écrits, Madeleine Ouellette-Michalska travaille à déconstruire la vision exclusivement masculine de la femme, ce qu'elle appelle « les discours de l'oeil ». Dans ses écrits théoriques, elle rêve d'une langue maternelle absente qui permettrait l'expression d'une réalité féminine cachée derrière les mythes du patriarcat. Cette « lecture féministe » de son oeuvre analyse les liens entre ses textes théoriques et sa propre pratique littéraire, surtout ses textes importants des années quatre-vingt, La tentation de dire et La maison Trestler, où elle semble réaliser pleinement son projet théorique.
