Abstract
Comme la plupart des romancières antillaises, Myriam Warner-Vieyra réserve une place importante aux femmes se heurtant aux contraintes sexuelles et raciales des sociétés patriarcales post ou néocoloniales. Dans son recueil de nouvelles Femmes échouées , les protagonistes féminines entreprennent de combattre leur destin et protestent contre leur asservissement. Si la plupart des études linguistiques maintiennent que là où le silence existe, la parole reste morte, Myriam Warner-Vieyra choisit plutôt d'exploiter le rapport silence / parole. En donnant au silence un statut particulier, celuici devient silence-parlé . L'objectif de cet article consiste à examiner le rôle du non-dit dans Femmes échouées et à démontrer en quoi il s'y transforme en voix narrative.
