Abstract
Les auteurs s'intéressent ici à la notion de pays telle qu'utilisée par Blanchard dans son étude consacrée à la région de l'Outaouais. Ainsi, après avoir rappelé quelques faits généraux sur l'emploi de cette notion par Blanchard, ils précisent le contexte particulier dans lequel celle-ci a été employée pour saisir une certaine forme de différenciation spatiale à l'intérieur des limites de l'Outaouais. Enfin, dans une brève analyse de l'évolution de l'espace ethno-linguistique de la région, à partir de la description qu'en a faite Blanchard, ils s'interrogent sur la pertinence de la notion de pays pour saisir la réalité ethno-linguistique de l'Outaouais actuel.
