Abstract
Depuis une douzaine d’années, le Québec a développé une politique familiale originale, qui emprunte à certains pays européens tout en demeurant reliée au contexte nord-américain. Nous présentons ici les étapes de l’élaboration d’une analyse comparative et contextuelle des politiques familiales au Québec, au Canada anglais, aux États-Unis, en France et en Suède. Ces politiques sont le résultat d’un processus d’élaboration, d’implantation et de transformation mené par divers acteurs sociaux, qu’ils appartiennent aux instances politico-administratives, à la société civile ou au monde des experts de la famille. Conformément à leurs intérêts et à leurs valeurs, ces acteurs sociaux ont eux-mêmes puisé leurs orientations normative et idéologique à leur vision des dynamiques familiales observables dans leur société ainsi qu’à leur interprétation des codes législatifs de leur pays.
