Abstract

Cet article s’appuie sur les résultats d’une enquête sur la dynamique des relations patronales-syndicales au Québec. Les résultats révèlent l’expression d’une volonté manifeste des acteurs de renforcer leur dialogue pour améliorer l’efficacité économique des établissements et le bien- être des travailleurs, dans un contexte marqué par de nouvelles exigences de compétitivité et une prise de conscience de l’importance d’une gestion conjointe des changements. Il est notamment mis en exergue un élargissement des échanges entre les parties, que ce soit à titre informationnel, consultatif ou décisionnel, et ce, à travers divers mécanismes de concertation mis en place dans les établissements : comités, accords et lettres d’entente, rencontres patronales-syndicales, dialogue continu, etc. L’établissement d’un lien de confiance entre les parties apparaît notamment comme un facteur important de développement de la concertation patronale-syndicale, auquel peut s’ajouter le partage de l’information, voire une vision commune du développement de l’organisation, alors qu’un climat économique négatif, des conséquences drastiques liées aux changements technologiques ou en matière de gestion des ressources humaines sont susceptibles de l’entraver. Il est aussi mis en évidence l’existence d’un lien positif entre un bon climat de concertation dans les établissements et la mise en oeuvre de pratiques de mobilisation des employés.
