Abstract
L'importance de plus en plus grande accordée à l'image, fixe ou animée, surdétermine une représentation de plus en plus explicite du corps. Or, le numérique et le cyberespace n'ont rien fait pour atténuer cette adéquation. Au contraire, le régime de l'image et du regard y est même entré dans une nouvelle mutation : à l'accessibilité sans fin d'Internet correspond une surabondance, une surexposition du corps érotisé. Dans le contexte, il devient important d'analyser la présence du corps sur Internet et, plus précisément, du corps dénudé tel qu'il est photographié et mis en scène sur ce support numérique. Pour en rendre compte, notre attention s'est portée sur cinq œuvres (tirées de l'exposition virtuelle Le Nu , organisée par Incident.net). Elles permettent d'illustrer certains des éléments fondamentaux de la représentation numérique, ainsi que les jeux auxquels ils donnent lieu : ce sont la nature pixellisée des photographies, leur transmission par un réseau, le traitement numérique qu'elles peuvent subir, l'interactivité qu'elles mettent en jeu et, de manière plus globale, la multiplicité de l'offre. Les œuvres choisies permettent d'examiner les conditions d'une présence du corps sur Internet et offrent un regard critique sur un aspect singulier de notre imaginaire contemporain, à savoir la prépondérance du corps et de ses fictions.
