Abstract
Dans l’histoire éducative du Québec, certains projets scolaires ont cherché à répondre aux défis posés par l’industrialisation, l’urbanisation et la modernité de la société québécoise. C’est le cas du projet éducatif des Frères des Écoles chrétiennes que ce texte propose d’explorer dans la ville de Québec. L’implantation de cette entreprise scolaire, de la seconde moitié du XIXe siècle aux années 1940, ne s’est d’ailleurs pas effectuée sans susciter plusieurs réactions.
