Abstract
La psychanalyse et la danse partagent un registre commun ; toutes deux proposent au sujet le défi d’échapper aux limitations imposées par les contraintes verbales. Ce texte explore les similarités entre le langage et l’expérience du danseur/chorégraphe et celle du/de la psychanalyste. En comparant ces deux disciplines, l’auteur suggère un parallèle entre l’ au-delà du mouvement artistique « où les mots finissent et où la danse commence » et l’ au-delà du symbolique dans l’analyse « où les mots s’effondrent autour du trou du réel ». La seconde partie du texte est une méditation de l’auteur écrite en réponse à un morceau de danse intitulé Portal et interprété par une chorégraphe et danseuse canadienne de renom.
