Abstract
Le système hospitalier français est en crise. Sa situation ressemble à celle des hôpitaux canadiens. À l'automne 2002, le ministre de la santé de France a annoncé une réforme en profondeur, nommée Hôpital 2007, annonce suivie d'une vaste consultation de tous les intervenants. Malgré certaines modifications suite à ces consultations, les principes de base de la réforme demeurent et leur mise en œuvre commence en 2004 pour se poursuivre pendant les cinq prochaines années. Certains aspects de cette réforme permettent d'intéressantes comparaisons avec la situation canadienne.
