Abstract
Diffusée en 1984 par la chaîne de télévision allemande ARD, la série Heimat est une chronique qui couvre soixante ans d’histoire allemande. Avec cette série, Edgar Reitz voulait que le peuple allemand se réapproprie son historiographie après la défaite de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. L’article qui suit rappelle le conflit entourant les interprétations qu’a déclenché Heimat, et l’auteur s’y penche ensuite sur un aspect très original mais encore peu connu de cette série : le fait que Reitz y a inséré une véritable histoire des médias de la première moitié du xxe siècle. Le traitement que Reitz accorde à l’histoire de la radio, média moderne que le régime fasciste allemand a développé en priorité, est ici analysé à titre d’exemple.
