Abstract
La relation d’Aragon à Baudelaire est ici interrogée à partir des seuls textes de commentaire, envisagés de façon diachronique, puis synthétique. Si Aragon le surréaliste privilégie le romantique révolté, contre la vision de Valéry qui situe la modernité de Baudelaire à la pointe d’un certain classicisme, le poète de la Résistance, lui, célèbre en l’auteur des Fleurs du mal l’héritier d’une tradition placée sous le double signe du réalisme et de la nation. Malgré les revirements de circonstance, la prédilection d’Aragon pour la prose baudelairienne demeure : elle nourrit, au fil de cinquante années, sa recherche d’une parole dépassant les clivages génériques et organisant sa propre contestation.
