Abstract
L'hypothèse relative aux spéculations seigneuriales dans la première moitié du 19e siècle a retenu l'attention de nombreux chercheurs. L'article fait état d'une démarche récente appliquée à l'étude de la répartition spatiale des rentes payées sur la censive de 90 arpents en 1831. Utile pour dégager les variations spatiales des taux de rentes dans l'ensemble du territoire seigneurial, la méthode retenue l'est aussi pour illustrer les difficultés inhérentes à l'utilisation de certaines sources nominatives, notamment le recensement de 1831.
