Abstract
This study focuses on finding the means for the harmonious and sustainable development of the people, resources, and environment of indemnificatory housing areas, as well as the prevention of the concomitants occurred in precedent countries, for example environmental deterioration, polarization between rich and poor, and social instability. It is elucidated in this paper that the government should provide residents of indemnificatory housing areas with diverse and humanized basic housing conditions and management services under the guidance of the idea of mixed housing, while follow the principles of open structure, elaborate design, shared facilities, environment friendly, and cooperative management. In addition, in this paper we demonstrated with practical examples that Harmonious Housing Mode is a sustainable development mode for indemnificatory housing.
