Abstract
Analyser les politiques sociales concernant les jeunes pères nécessite la recension des politiques sociales concernant les jeunes, les jeunes parents et la paternité car ils sont au carrefour de ces rôles sociaux. À la lumière des documents consultés, nous constatons la présence d’analyses détaillées et approfondies des problèmes et des besoins des jeunes parents, mais on aborde peu la question des services destinés aux jeunes pères. Cependant, lorsqu’on aborde le sujet, on le fait dans une perspective différente de la mère. Bien que la question de la paternité soit de plus en plus présente dans les recommandations et dans les politiques sociales, on relève des contradictions significatives entre les énoncés de principe et la mise en place des services aux jeunes parents. L’offre de services qui en découle est précise pour les mères, alors que concernant les jeunes pères, on se limite à des énoncés de principe.
