Abstract
Lorsque l’on traite de mixité conjugale, la recherche exige de remettre dans leur contexte historique et politique les notions qui semblent les plus « évidentes », tels que les groupes d’origine et les identités… Après une évocation des racines de l’implication personnelle de l’auteure dans cette recherche – initialement orientée sur les rapports sociaux de sexe – la construction du sens des termes mixte et mixité en lien avec le genre, la religion et la nationalité est explorée dans une perspective historique. L’article se termine par un survol de quelques recherches françaises sur le couple mixte et les changements intervenus depuis les années 1950.
