<p>Un aperçu des enjeux relatifs aux changements climatiques (CC) et à la gestion des eaux en milieu urbain est présenté dans cet article, notamment en matière d’approvisionnement en eau potable et d’assainissement urbain. On montre comment la modification éventuelle des caractéristiques des précipitations, engendrée par les CC, pourra affecter la performance ou le niveau de service des infrastructures urbaines d’eau. Une description des travaux de recherche en cours à l’Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) en vue d’évaluer les impacts possibles des CC sur l’approvisionnement en eau potable et sur l’assainissement urbain est aussi donnée.</p>

\n<h2>Abstract</h2><p>This paper gives an overview of the issues related to climate change (CC) and to water management in urban areas, especially in terms of potable water supply and urban sewerage systems. It is shown how the possible change in the characteristics of precipitations, associated to CC, could alter the urban water infrastructures’ performance or level of service. Ongoing research projects at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS) on the evaluation of the possible CC impacts on potable water supply and urban drainage are also presented.</p>
