Abstract
Sylvie De Saedeleer, André Brassard, Luc Brunet. Would school become more pervious to parents’ commitment? The point of view of Quebec school directors. The text is about the way Quebec school directors view parents’ commitment at school after a law on decentralization which has reasserted the importance that the State wants the part played by parent’s commitment to have. The data have been gathered via meetings. The results show that parents’ commitment is strongly wished for when it increases school resources. It is much less so when dealing with policy matters. Furthermore school directors do approve of parents’ commitment but on condition. Finally, some directors draw attention on the fact that the nature of parents’ implication will vary greatly according to the social bagkground they belong to.
