Abstract
The temperature dependence of the Cl nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) frequency in CH 3 NH 3 Hg 2 Cl 5 was investigated for temperatures between 77 and 340 K where three frequencies were found. The Zeeman effect on the NQR of 35 Cl in a crystalline powder of CH 3 NH 3 Hg 2 Cl 5 was studied. The asymmetry parameter (η) of the electric field gradient for the second frequency was obtained.
