Abstract
Tout réseau cherche à créer une certaine cohérence entre ses unités. Or, il existe des réseaux si bien intégrés que ses parties doivent se différencier les unes des autres pour faire valoir leur personnalité, leur raison d’être et éviter d’être étouffées. Le cas du village de Sainte-Pétronille, à l’Île d’Orléans, au Québec, illustre bien ce problème. Complètement inféodé sur le plan administratif aux structures régionales de l’Île d’Orléans, ce village a su conserver une personnalité différente en prenant appui sur une tradition de bénévolat vitement récupérée par le milieu politique. On peut en déduire que le réseau impose, que l’unité s’ajuste et que c’est le marginal qui propose les valeurs ajoutées qui sont alors récupérées.
