Abstract
Les différentes réponses de l’État français aux dérives des groupes sectaires sont décrites dans le présent article suivant une approche à la fois historique et descriptive. En suivant une analyse chronologique, l’évolution de l’approche française est présentée et commentée à l’aide d’une analyse des lois françaises auxquelles les magistrats ont déjà eu recours contre certains agissements sectaires, comme de celles susceptibles d’être utilisées à leur encontre. Cet exposé entend ainsi mettre en évidence les moyens d’action offerts par le droit français et l’utilisation qui en est réellement faite. Enfin, les modulations de la réponse française sont présentées et commentées.
