Abstract
Cet article rend compte d’un travail exploratoire étudiant les représentations de la science et des scientifiques débattues et diffusées dans des débats en ligne entre non professionnels de la science au sujet du réchauffement climatique anthropique. Nous avons analysé de manière qualitative et compréhensive les commentaires sur deux sites où sont discutées des thèses dites « sceptiques ». Les résultats montrent que ces échanges sont le fait de communautés actives réduites développant un propos assez structuré. Les défenseurs de positions sceptiques prétendent produire un véritable discours scientifique, et développent une représentation de la science où les sceptiques incarnent l’idéal scientifique véritable face à des institutions et des chercheurs perçus comme corrompus et animés par l’idéologie. Les opposants aux vues sceptiques mettent en avant les mécanismes propres à la littérature scientifique pour refuser aux sceptiques le statut d’experts.
