Abstract
Cette étude sur des adolescents délinquants et des adolescents non délinquants a conduit aux résultats suivants : – la délinquance se développe en trois stades (émergence, activation, aggravation) et régresse entre deux stades (émergence-activation, activation-aggravation) ; – ces stades apparaissent respectivement à la latence ou à la préadolescence et à la mi-adolescence ou vers la fin de l’adolescence ; – trois types de dysfonctionnements familiaux (primaires, secondaires et tertiaires) contribuent au développement de la délinquance ; – les transformations positives de ces dysfonctionnements conduisent au désistement de la délinquance. Nos résultats permettent de proposer un modèle d’étude différent du modèle hiérarchique québécois.
